Camp NaNoWriMo Update #5

Camp nano winner 2016

Stats:

Total word count: 50,022/50,000

Word count for week:  18,668

Words behind: NONE

Accomplishment:

I did it, I wrote 50K in 30 days. This was such a big thing for me because it took me four drafts and two years to finally hit 50K with my last WIP (work in progress). I never thought that I would actually be able to do this.

Comments for the week:

Overall:
This week was so hard, I felt like I had to work so hard for each word. Also, my fingers are so tired from typing. But I WON so it was all worth it!

Saturday : I got home from the North Texas Teen Book Festival and started writing with a new determination.

Sunday: I wrote more and tried to catch up.

Monday: I felt totally unmotivated but I decide that I had to write regardless.

Tuesday:  I hit 40K, only 10K left to go.

Wednesday: Insecurity was hitting me hard along, I was so down about it I didn’t get much writing done

Thursday: I hit 45K, only 5K left, which should seem like nothing by this point but it feels like 20K.

Friday: I went out of down and wrote the whole way there and back, I finally hit 48k.

Saturday: I hit 50K.

I am so excited to be done, I’m also so glad that I didn’t quit last week when I wanted to. I am not sure if I will go back and edit this novel or not, at this point it still doesn’t even have a title. Part of me wants to go back and fix it because I really do love the story it’s self, I just don’t know if I am going to be up to tackling it right away or not.

For now I’m off to go catch up on laundry and clean my house that has been put on the back burner lately.

Did you finish Camp Nano? If so are you going to edit your story?

Thank you! Hey, at least you attempted it, that counts for something, and every word you did write is more than you started with. 🙂 April and May are such busy months for everyone. Congrats on winning NaNoWriMo in November!!
